Monica Issar

Monica Issar is the Global Head of Multi-Asset and Portfolio Solutions for J.P. Morgan Wealth Management. In this capacity, she leads a team of over 300 professionals who manage $600 billion in assets under management (AUM), serving clients globally from offices in New York, San Francisco, London, and Paris. Ms. Issar is also responsible for overseeing portfolio management, due diligence, outsourced chief investment teams, sustainable investing, thematic, and impact investment offerings, including OpenInvest, a fintech company acquired by J.P. Morgan in 2021.

With over two decades of experience in Asset & Wealth Management, Ms. Issar has held various leadership roles in product development, client team management, portfolio management, and research. She began her career in Equities Research and Portfolio Management before transitioning to Wealth Management, where she built an investment team dedicated to managing wealth for hedge fund principals, corporate executives, and large families. In 2011, she founded and led the Endowments & Foundations Group, an Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) service that now manages over $40 billion in AUM for endowments, foundations, and institutional families. Furthermore, she served as the Business Sponsor for the Firmwide Fiduciary & Conflicts of Interest Program, focusing on maintaining a firmwide view of fiduciary matters and resolving new fiduciary issues.

Ms. Issar is actively involved in several advisory boards and committees, including the Girls Who Invest Advisory Board, the Mission Asset Fund’s Board of Directors, and the Advisory Board for WOCStar. She has also served on the UNICEF Board of Directors, the Community Resource Exchange (CRE) Board of Directors, the India Cultural Center Board of Directors, and the J.P. Morgan Corporate Foundation Investment Committee.

She is a member of the Global Private Bank Operating Committee and the Wealth Management Solutions Leadership Team. Recognized as one of Crain’s 2022 Notable Asian Leaders in New York City, Ms. Issar holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration from New York University. She resides in Greenwich, Connecticut, with her husband and two children.
