Anthony D. Werley
Anthony D. Werley serves as Vice Chair of Global Wealth Management, where he brings his multi-decade experience in endowment-style investing and managing institutional capital to provide strategic advice on long-term investing and custom portfolio solutions for our largest clients. In his role, he focuses on engaging with Global Private Bank clients, including family offices and endowments, ensuring they receive personalized and insightful financial guidance.
Mr. Werley has served in management, investment, and sales capacities for institutional and private clients for over 40 years. He joined J.P. Morgan in 2003 as a Managing Director within the Private Bank, where he held leadership roles including Global Head of Portfolio Construction. Most recently, he served as Chief Investment Ocer for the Endowments & Foundations CIO Team, overseeing investment policy, strategic and tactical allocation, and risk management. In that role, he also authored several white papers on topics germane to endowment and foundation investment management. In addition to his current role, Mr. Werley has been a member of the J.P. Morgan Asset Management Long-Term Capital Market Assumptions Committee for the past 20 years. He has previously served on the Performance Governance, Alternative Investments Review, Private Bank Global Investment, and Fiduciary Governance committees.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Mr. Werley was with Graystone Consulting, advising on asset allocation and serving as Head of Transaction Advisory. Earlier in his career, he was President and Co-Founder of Asian research at private equity boutique Clarion Capital and was the Global Head of Private Client Services for CS First Boston.
Mr. Werley holds a B.A. from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. from New York University.
