Mike Marino has worked at J.P. Morgan for 20 years, holding various leadership positions at the firm. Since 2013, he has had responsibility for leading and growing the Private Bank’s Southeast Market, including the Atlanta, Nashville and Charlotte offices. The team delivers a wide range of financial advice across investments, credit, banking, fiduciary and estate planning for many of the firm’s most complex and sophisticated clients. From 2011 to 2013, Mike served as the Commercial Bank’s Lead Banker to mid-cap companies across the South Region. From 1999 to 2011, Mike worked at the Investment Bank and was responsible for debt and equity capital market execution, as well as providing merger and acquisition advisory services. Initially based in New York, Mike relocated to Atlanta in 2000 and helped establish the firm’s first office in the Southeast.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Mike worked in Investment Banking at Salomon Smith Barney as a Vice President in the Technology, Media & Telecommunications Group after serving as an Associate in Financial Sponsor Coverage. Mike began his Wall Street career as a Financial Analyst at Morgan Stanley in the Fixed Income Division. He currently serves on three nonprofit boards, including Emory University’s Goizueta School of Business; the Atlanta Speech School, a primary school serving children with speech, language, hearing or learning disabilities; and The Posse Foundation, which provides college access and full-tuition scholarships to demographically diverse high school graduates.
Mike earned his bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University and his M.B.A. from Emory University. He also holds the Series 7, 9, 10, 24 and 63 securities licenses. He is a Level III candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst® certification.
