Erik Wytenus, Managing Director, is responsible for the Investment Team at J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Palm Beach, Florida. He manages an experienced group of professionals who advise wealthy clients and their families on holistic asset allocation and tactical investment decisions. As a senior member of the Florida Investment Team, he is responsible for ensuring that client portfolios are invested in accordance with the Global Strategy and Solutions Team’s market views.
Previously, Erik served as Head of Foreign Exchange and Commodities for J.P. Morgan in Asia, based in Hong Kong. He sat on the Private Bank’s Asia Opportunistic Investments Committee, which generates cross-asset class strategies, as well as on the region’s discretionary investment committee.
Prior to this role, Erik was based in New York and was responsible for developing and executing FX and commodity solutions for private clients. He also worked at the Investment Bank's currency trading desk managing client orders and risk, and trading currencies in both market making and proprietary strategies. Before joining J.P. Morgan, he worked in Profit and Loss and Risk Analysis for Hess Energy Trading Company in New York. Erik has appeared numerous times on CNBC and Bloomberg television to discuss our market views.
Erik holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Ithaca College. He has a passion for lacrosse and spent time playing and coaching for a sporting club in Melbourne, Australia. He holds the Series 7, 9, 10 and 63 securities licenses.
